This year's U.S open is being played in the beautiful city of Philadelphia at the renowned Merion Golf Club.
Whilst not as long as some previous U.S Open venues the layout is a test of course management and is one of Hugh Wilson's finest designs.
The USGA has created a number of flyovers to explain the course and its wonderful strategy - this is definitely not one for the bombers!

This has to be seen to be believed....... Only in America (hopefully) would a system that takes the swing out of golf 'take off' - get it?
Watch the video and make your own mind up - By the way sets start at $800 and max out at $1000 - I kid ye not!!
Or should that be 'Golfer's Fail'? Includes some fairly idiotic uses of golf carts being driven by erm, 'golfers' - Hmm not sure about that one..... See for yourself ;-)
PS - Seriously, golf carts can kill.......... no really, they can - do not try this at home, or your local course, or anywhere for that matter!!
'Is that your real hair........?'
A recent decision made jointly by the R&A and USGA has made 'anchoring' of the putter illegal from 2016 when the new revision to the Rules of Golf is published.
Only 'anchoring' is made illegal, the use of long putters will still be allowed .
No-one likes slow play - or at least they shouldn't............ How about this for an example of speed golf to gee us up a little.
